Question 5: Answer- questionnaire
The use of questionnaires is a great way to help me understand what the audience think of my magazine; they give me an idea of what they like and what they don't like about my magazine. At the beginning of making my magazine I used questionnaires to gain and understanding of what my target audience wanted to see throughout my magazine, and through the results I gained from the questionnaires, this helped me create my magazine to suit my target audience.
Questionnaires are an easy method do gain what my target audience would most like to see in my magazine as well as they are easy to put together and they can be made so that they focus on the questions that I will need to know the answers to. When distributing my questionnaire I handed them out personally to people as well as if I wanted a large quantity of people to answer the questionnaire I could post it on websites such as surverymonkey so that anybody can access it.
All of the questionnaires are anonymous which therefore allows them to give their full views without thinking they have to not give their full opinions.
As I created a questionnaire at the beginning of my magazine progress I decided to make an overall evaluation questionnaire, in order to get the final view of my target audience's final opinion on my product. My final questionnaire will include both closed and open questionnaires.
Closed: When getting the results from the closed questions in my questionnaire they are easier to measure. However one of the down falls to closed questionnaires is that the candidates don't have the opportunity to expand on their opinions, therefore having a mixed number of closed and open questions in my questionnaire is essential.

Open: Open questions in my questionnaire allow the candidates to expand fully on their answers which would allow me to get responses that are not generated from the questions. Although one of the downfalls is that they are difficult to calculate and measure.

Evaluation: Question 5
The next step in my evaluation process is discussing how to attract the audience to my magazine and how I addressed the audience. This is the question:
How did you attract/address your audience?
How did you attract/address your audience?
Question 4: Answer
What would be the audience for your media product?
I had previously mentioned my target audience for my magazine, and my primary audience is females aged between 14-25.
My magazine is £1.99 and is available monthly therefore it is affordable for people to buy whether they have a job or not...
Male: 46%
Female: 54%
Average age: 17
Work full time: 8%
Work part time: 22%
Studying: 70%
Audience profile: A target audience is one of the most important features when creating a magazine and it is essential for you to understand your target audience. Many of the big magazine companies use audience research to help them gain their money. This was what I done when creating my reader profile for my magazine as this helps me understand my target audience.
The next step for my evaluation was to plan interviews with people that are within my target audience, which would allow me to understand their interests and opinions of my magazine.
