The first task for our A Level media course was to produce a school magazine that included both a front cover and a contents page.
Initially, before beginning the school magazine we had to go
out and collect photographs that we could possibly consider using both in our
front cover and contents page. I decided to stick to a blue and yellow colour
theme as these were the colours on the school logo. I adjusted the image and
enlarged it to the size of the entire front cover. The largest piece of text on
the cover is the title to make sure that it stands out. I also included the
schools logo and an image taken on the school ground to emphasis which schools
my magazine is representing. The headlines on the sides are the typical
conventions of a magazine and provide information about what included inside
the magazine.
For the contents page I decided I would stick with a plain
white background with black writing as this would stand out on the page. I kept
the same styled font throughout the front cover and the content page which were
century gothic and trijan pro as these fonts were easy to read and look similar
to what the conventions of a magazine look like. I had two images included to
represent the stories that were involved throughout the magazine itself.
